Green Slip tip
66NIK - April 4th, 2004 at 05:13 PM

After getting a blue slip for my 66 panel on friday I went down to NRMA on saturday morning for a green slip. I was expecting to pay the outrageous $741 I found on their website but there was a very helpful guy there who said if I took out comprehensive insurance with NRMA I would be able to get a discount bringing the cost down to $437! My next question was what happens if I cancel the comprehensive do i pay back the difference? He said that is a business risk NRMA has to take.
We will see what happens in a few weeks time when I reinsure with someone else who can value the car at more than $1500.

The difference is mine is a panel not a bus so it is for some reason put in the same group as utes and trucks.

This is probably the most amusing fact forgotten by most Kombi owners.

The "reason" it is put in the same group as utes & light trucks is because IT IS A LIGHT TRUCK!!!

Somewhere along the line the Kombi fanatics go into denial that they own a commercial vehicle.
I've always refered to mine as a truck.......
