Information on the Documentry is in German with English sub-titles

Adjacent to the historic district of Dresden the Volkswagen Corporation has erected a glass palace of unprecdented proportions.

A nocturnally radiant transparent factory to manufacture the companys luxury sedans. It is a cathedral for ritual ceremony that transforms an industrial product into a cultural artifact, using Dresden's aged vista as a backdrop.

What kind of people, what strategies and which philosophy lies at the heart of this project? It is as if a highly aesthetisized and technically advanced spaceship has landed in a suburban garden. This film is narrated by architect, Gunter Henn and the heads of the VW Corporation, commented upon by philosopher Peter Sloterdijk and neighbour hood residents, as well as celebrated by head of VW Corporation Ferdinand Piech and Chancellor Gerhard Schroder.

Yes it was a good night...... and you all missed out.

Well we have been invited next year to go along for the same deal, so keep posted

Yes we got to park right out the front of the building and i mean right out the front and Boof even was directed up onto the foot path...... GO THE BAJA

They took video footage of us pulling up, parking...... Before the documentary started they had a quest speaker and the lady that has been in contact with myself made a speach and thanked Volkswagen for the support and every as well as myself and the VW people for coming along and supporting the event...... This all was on video aswell.

I am talking with her to get a copy of the video.

When we came out of the Documentary and come down the stairs lets just say lots and lots of people where looking around the cars and talking about them.

Thank you to Marc & Kathy (Yellow Type 3 Fastback), Michael (Blue and White Baja - Boof), John & Kerry (non VW), George (White GTI Golf), Nick (White Beetle) and of course me (Yellow Beetle)

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh geez missed it
im just new to QLD looking for any dub clubs around town,
i live on the gold coast, girlfriend in brizzy,
always around, any guidance would be great?

Mrs M - April 29th, 2004 at 08:07 AM

I sent you a U2U......

Gold Coast has 2 club... One is the Gold Coast VW Club based on the Gold Coast and the other is Klub VW which is a chapter of the Original club formed in Toowoomba 9 years ago. Klub VW has chapters all over NSW and Qld.

When you come to Klub Fest and I will point you to the direction of the 2 People that are in charge of both those clubs so you can have a chatt with them and make a decision on which you would prefer to join.... but just because you join one does not mean that you can only go to that clubs events.... you can go on any event you would like to.
