Those rallies look like good fun,but in a patrol? A manx could do that trip easily and would be twice as much fun. HE HE.

Well we are back.

A great time was had, saw lots of the outback and met some great people.

A small amount of carnage(Not mine) 1 x Patrol engine cracked block, 1 x 80 series Landcruiser front diff(swivel housing) torn off on a rock after the tyre exploded, 1 x nissan patrol ute (Rolled) also due to tyre blowing.

Other than that, it was great.

Yes the manx would be great fun, But,

1. The longest leg we had to cover without fuel stops was 750klms into Diamantina Lakes National Park(Out Past Winton) I for one know my Manx will not even come close to that sort of range, If you think carrying 2 or 3 Jerry cans on your roof would be OK, then consider where you might put the rest off your camping gear, fridge, 40l of water, etc.... Hence the Patrol

2. . Now consider the Dust generated by 22 vehicles travelling at 100klm/hr on a gravel road(No you can't allways be out front, its drawn out of a hat in the morning).
