The wife and I have just bought an 1963 beetle and we need a 6V battery for it.



Can anyone recommend a retailer of said battery and also a good brand of battery to get?

Any other info would be great as well.

I will try the usual VW shops but just thought I would start here.

Give COMET Battries a ring at Geebung in Bris on 32652233 and they should have one on the shelf brand new.

there is a good place out strathpine way --- brand new batteries and the cheapest by far.....just cant remember where it is exactly or what its called.....ummmmmmm......i'll get back to you!
but it is worth ringing around ---- the prices vary a lot1

Thanks. I already called them (Comet) on the advice of a local VW shop, and they have them on the shelf for $110 and installed and delivered for an extra $9. Thanks for your help guys. :-)
