After much harrasment and a little bit of coercing....me and kat finally made our racing debut yesterday on the pristine lawns of the mooloola country club (why the hell they let us rent out their grounds i will never understand...the place was a mud pit by the end of the day!!!!)

I would like to say that we KICKED ARSE but that would be totally lying.....

WE STAYED ALIVE YAY!!!!!!! and i managed to avoid all the trees and keep drew's car in one piece!

It was an excellent day, and many thanks to all involved, espeically Drew and John Brose, all the officals and scurtineers (gawd i wish i could spell) the competitors, the spectators (we had the Aussie Vee Dub Forum Cheering Sqaud - thanks Anthiron and Blue Bus!) and the gods of volkswagenism that kept Kat, Millie, me and Drews beetle ALIVE at the end of the day.

Very funny to be freakingout with Kat at 8am, thinking we are gunna puke, pee our pants, tummies doing back flips, chainsmoking...."are we having FUN yet..????????"

But by the end of the day....we were seasoned Petrol Heads........Kats aim to "Get Millie Airborne" will just have to wait until next Motorkhana......but we will patiently wait Kat!
It was a beautiful sight to behold......kat thrashing a PERFECTLY RESTORED BEETLE throught the mud and side swipping trees......revving the shit out of her engine....LMAO it was GREAT!!!!!!!!! go kat!!!!!!!!!

But now we are total rev head JUNKIES! can hardly wait until the next event..........think we might have to go out and visit $2cheapie and get some all girl power happening.......i need to practice my handbrake turns......i need to learn how to follow those courses....shit.....i stil; reckon i only got so lost because i was paranoid about hurting Drews beetle...........

You shouldn't have been worie look at how wally flogged it!!! well John and I have been having discusssions about whats going to happen racing wise in the future I will fill you in this arvo about our plans. But you both did real well. We will have to try and arrange a time to get you out and get some practice in.

At least we know where we stand in the racing world of guys! and i must admit it was an awesome birthday present being able to race along side of some famous, beloved people such as urself! LOL!

you will be right we will ease you into it gently if you want? take it nice and slow. But hopefully I will have the bug ready for the motokhana soon. There arn't many grass ones left in qld now but hey thats life. Its ok, just got to remember you can flog the car as much as you want and then just concertrate on the navigation and not the driving. See john and I being annoying can be a good thing sometimes?
