For the less computer literate among us, I'm wondering what's the best way to resize pics...
I've been using Microsoft Photo Editor (right click the photo's file and go to -Open With, then -Microsoft Photo Editor) which I think is a standard
program that comes with Windows...
In -Properties -Resolution, I've been changing it from 180 down to 20, and in -image, -resize, I've been changing the width to 20 (which
automatically changes the height to 15) and it seems to take it down to 30 - 40 kb, which seems to work well and look good and give enough detail for
the pic...
Is there a better way to do it, ie giving bigger size with less resolution, but still giving a good pic for forum purposes?
that's better than Microsoft Photo Editor?
6.0.3?
Hey Frenzix, thanks for the info and sorry to bother you so much but I started downloading via phoneline and it was taking ages! 11mb! gotta bail for tonight cos I gotta make a phone call... reckon it's worth downloading or am I just as well off using MS Photo?
In windows XP I open up the folder where your pic is stored in windows explorer (right click start and then click explore) - when you open up the folder right click on it and then click resize - small which will mostly cut it down to size below 50
Why not just use paint
comes with all window programs
use the percentage ie 50%
i use MGI photosuite which came with one of our digital cameras
ez thumbnails
small & free resizer.
