Tinkered with my bug this morning while dodging the showers of rain !
Now at work waiting for my flights to come in !

fixed the genny indicator light in # 2 Type 3 as the wire had fallen off

Removed my rear brake drum on the Sea Blue 65 as it leaking fluid

Stuffed around with the Drag car in the arvo finally have the front and rear axles in correct relationship and very close to final wheel align.

Spooky mine was leaking fluid too rear brake !!

Just got him on the road y'day had a great time going to the beach. Had to take the mother in law for a drive.....that wasn't grate
At work till Monday so can't drive the bug

just got home from working at my bug money job. I got a cake thown at me :cussing after we detained some shoplifters and their friends got pissed at us.

I put kits thru the carbs on my Notch
then found the shut off valve blocked and one bamk wouldn't run
Put the old one back in and its all good
except for an air leak i think (and hope)

went over to V-Force

got to see my pan came back from the chemical stripping - the whole thing was bare metal and u could see everything the paint was hiding! My pan project is underway !

Big day today, just got in.

Hit the shed at 7.30 this morning
pulled the engine out of my '70 Beetle shitster, replaced all the gearbox mounts, rear engine seal, swing axel rubber boot, checked clutch and adjusted it right, weld up cracks in the exhaust, change the shifter bush in the tunnell, and change the engine oil and do the tappetts, and repaired the drivers door window so it now goes up and down.... cool, should be good for another 6 months.

Then went and bought a nice Karmann Ghia

Then did a service on my wifes Caravelle, including changing the auto fluids and washing all the cow sh#t off it,
I don't know where she got that from?

Picked up the trailer @ 9, took the Spyder into work and used the crane to pop in the motor and grearbox. Spent the rest of the day trying to fit all the other bits an pieces into the tiny engine compartment. And doing the same tomorrow............
And Dave, I like the casual comment about buying a nice KG.

today i went and got a pic of rod penrose's awsome wheelstang blown up then went to a friends place. its a prick when u r on ya Ls..... then came home and worked on my front guards forr my bug then my cylender heads took my attention..... the de-carbonisation process

Went over tro Lebo Joes this morning and fitted up his doors with new inner n outer scrappers. Got the baily channels in and the power windows working

Its going together nice.

tried to study for mid semester exams while getting distracted with thoughts on how im going to tackle the problem of my broken bug.

Came to the conclusion that solutions for practice exam questions are cheaper than solutions for broken bug questions. :thumb

byronbus and i are going to paint the mufflers with pot belly paint as they are rusting. we might go for a surf a little later. Its a hard life being on holidays.
