coolio
Peter Leonard - April 26th, 2004 at 09:45 AM
how much do they charge for a custom tank? I've been thinking about getting one made up myself
Marineboy - April 26th, 2004 at 02:17 PM
Well with a bigger fuel tank there is more KG's in the front and More chance those front tyres will stay in the ground...!
Run into this problem a few times now...
UNDERSTEER..!!!
Peter Leonard - April 26th, 2004 at 09:30 PM
maybe set up a second tank and pump into the first to keep it at the same weight up front as a way of trimming the bias... otherwise it will
understeer more and more the further you go ... eep. madness.

Also who's doing it. rough prices?

Mike
Brad - May 10th, 2004 at 10:46 AM
Almost there, rough price will be around $700 and they are made from 3mm alloy. As for who is doing them .... keep an eye out for a new and exciting
Custom Buggy Fabrication Company opening soon !!!!
The new company will be offering a full suit of buggy stuff from custom bar work and fule tanks to full floor pan builds and camper trailers.
All work is carried out by fully qualified trades people and quality and good turn around times at an affordable price is the aim of the game.

All they need is a shed that doesn't leak .... :P
Good luck with it.
Brad - May 10th, 2004 at 11:14 AM

Hmmmm. The plot thickens... the mystery of where this new buggy shop will be. Who will work there and what wonderful things they will create...
There is definitely an opening in this market as most of the current players (business not recreactional) cost allot of $$$ and seem to take a long
time to get stuff done.

Peter Leonard - May 10th, 2004 at 06:02 PM
here's a question for ye...
what fuel sender do you use for the new tank?
Andy42 - May 10th, 2004 at 06:10 PM
Also are these tanks tig welded or mig welded and are they certified.
And as for a buggy shop that does quality work for a reasonable price "I would like to see that " Would be nice if it opens on the Southside for a
change:thumb

ducky - May 10th, 2004 at 06:46 PM
hee hee go get em brad
Brad - May 10th, 2004 at 11:30 PM
OK
VDO sender
Tig Welded - all welds left unground tanks tested to 5 PSI (TBC PSI rating)
Ceryified yes
Quality Yes
Custom Fit yes ( you bring buggy to secret shed with hole cut and bonnet sitting on and you get it back with fule tank or as an option you get motor
bike style filler fitted and all ( extra cost applies to supply of cap)
Time frame - once they open expect 7 days turn around
Man you guys need to find some hard questions
mattie182 - May 11th, 2004 at 06:16 PM
Hmm Hard Questions???
Where is the hidden shed located??
Who owns it??
Who runs it??
Who works there??
Brad - May 11th, 2004 at 10:37 PM
who cares ??
Product quality , costings and supply times are what they stand behind
MikeM - May 11th, 2004 at 10:45 PM
Well it's pretty hard for us to get em to do stuff if we don't know where they are.
Brad - May 11th, 2004 at 10:47 PM
when the time is right you will know all about them, that I can assure you of .....
