Just thought I would share some info with you all in relation to just how big this site is getting.

- we average over 120 000 page views a day. That is 7 days a week 365 days a year
- We have regulare visitors from all over the world, Pakistan, Germany, Indo, USA, NZ, France, Belguim .... etc etc
- 14% of all visitors stay online for over an hour every time
- The most used search word that sends people to us is "Aussieveedubbers" so the world is aware.
- We have alomost 150 000 posts on the forum and over 15 000 topics.
- We have over 2200 members and use more tha 12GB of bandwidth a month
- Images account for almost 90% of our bandwidth usage.

So ther you go ..... who said air cooled VW's weren't a thing of the future

thats great work guys, definetly the biggest VW forum ive seen so far, and getting bigger all the time. but i had no idea how big. jim u must b proud of urself. can u see how many of those members r active, or how many actually post regularly?

i was just thinkning, its freaky to think u post a pic of ur VW for ur local veedubbers to see ur car and ppl from pakistan or belgium or somwhere may be saving it and adding it to their little folders on their computers, the internet is awesome.

It is big and great but, to me, the most important part about AVD is that its not self destructing like most other forums/discussion groups I have been on. They bag each other regularly, threat to take legal action and all that bullshit. I love this one and been on it for a long time and I don't see myself going off it any time soon. Big thank you for the people who made/make it happen.

This site is addictive, i have logged on nearly every day since it started, And when it goes down , I dont know what to do with myself.
If only I spent as much time working on my splitty it would have been finished a year ago.

Mind blowing isn't it. I mean, I know I have mentioned how it all started before, so I won't repeat myself, but it seems only a few weeks ago that I was emailing people, telling them I had started this forum thingy, and they should get on there..

Only yesterday 300 members? Mate, I can remember I think it was Spook that was about member 16, Brad was like member 4, Wes was like member 7, and the list goes on..

It wasn't exactly like it was now, back then though. The ideas and concepts are primarily the same, but without the support of both Brad and Andrew, we'd be up the creek without that famous paddle..

wow. that really is amazing. congrats to the founders and to think i only joined a little under 2 years ago (in May 02) and i reckon i was in the first 300, and i thought it was big back then! now we have been through 3(?) format changes and have nearly 6 TIMES the nember of members! and yes, i wouold haev to agree with the others that this is one of the 2 most friendly forums i have ever visited.:party:party
