has anybody put wood panels as an interior in a bay before?

i'VE DONE A FEW INTERIORS UP FOR MYSELF AND FRIENDS WITH A VARIETY OF PANELS, WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

My uncle had a wooden interior in his oval when I was a kid.

I believe Mr Bubblehead has done a nice little camper type conversion with cupboards and a wooden floor.. He might be able to help.

You can use 3mm ply if you want, but it does tend to split at the anchor points and can get messy around the edges.

Flexibility in the wood is the key here if you're looking to fit the panels in nice and neat to standard. Otherwise, you could fit some batons in with the curve included, and glue some straight panels to the framework.

On one pic (Pic of the week I think?) I saw someone lining the curves with bamboo, and somewhere else, I've seen matchstick blinds being used. Just use your imagination and you'll be right!

I have to do my interior at some stage, and I'll probably be going 3mm Poly sheeting, which you can get from Bunnings in a few colours evidently. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody hasn't used mini-orb by now either?

I'm almost embarrased to say this.
I used randon groove 3mm ply in a Baja interior in 1980. Also had blue crushed velvet panels.


Heat on the ply should give you a reasonable curve.
