I dont know what they are worth, but around here there are always auctions selling used industrial equipment one week, office equipment another week etc. Maybe look around where you are for auctions. A lot of welders need a 15amp supply, so check that before you buy.

I bought a italian "selwyn" brand from bunnings, i paid 1100$ 4 years ago now the same brand are selling for around 600 - 650 at bunnings, a great powerfull and gentle mig, has 4 power settings and various wire speed.

Forgot to add, it is a gas ans gasless type, gasless wire is quite expensive and i prefer to use on new metal, use gas on older metal as it sheilds better

i bought my mig from the toolbox 4yr ago for $550 still about the same price at Gasweld at Leumeah, otherwise try the trading post or trash and treasure markets or second hand machinery dealers etc

Sunday papers - yeah, what Amazer said. Check out the auction section of the Sunday papers. There's always a workshop or two that's gone under, and you can get some great stuff. I know a guy who got a near new hoist for $1500. Wicked!
