yay a whole week and my car is holding its tune
$2.63 homebrand baja - April 27th, 2004 at 11:08 PM

whoopee you say (wtf)..lol. after having endless probs wif my holden carbi, fine on highway, but just would not stop running ritch etc,, was planning change to webber thinking it was falling apart on me... offroad driving just made prob worse.. finding time to do change over, whinging in here about idle probs etc.....

after wheelies day, once again car got home running like dog, I noticed in daylight,,,, hmm that choke looks bit loose...(prev owner had installed a high tech cable which is mounted above rear vision mirror.lol.) I make sure it is pushed in,, butttt I reaslised it had few bends in wire,,, hence engine has been running with choke slightly on, flappin bout!.......

few bends/adjustments/dodgey repairs..... sigh of relief... we have tune :P don't have to chane it just yettttt!

Don't you wish you had a homebrand too? lol

(just thought I would post this as no one in the outside world really cares or understands my excitement!)..;)

it's the small victories that go unnoticed that make things smoooooooth
well done. i unnerstand the "YESS!" feeling you get from sorting something annoying with a couple of tweaks and a bit of nouse.:beer

Peter Leonard - April 28th, 2004 at 11:15 PM

I expect that beer to be cold, mind ;)

have a go at doing your tappets next, and check for exhaust leaks, if it's sucking air it'll pop at ya when you change down gears or compression brake like down a hill or summin.

keep your hands dirty :party

It's called super CHEAP for reason. Wouldn't even buy plugs from there.

vwombat - April 29th, 2004 at 09:38 AM

You just have to buy reputable Brands from them and you're right.

Good one on the mechanical wizardry guys. One day, I'm gonna
grow up to be just as clever as you!

supercheap, excellent range... if you own a holden or ford :P

mmm popping exhaust, holes, aaahhhaaaahahahahadoink (hits oneself over head with an extractor!)... I ahev to get that bit sorted next..$$$$$.

mmmm my bug is a bit of a hold together tiewire till I can afford an upgrade,, (just not enough power.lol. I have outgrown it. I want mooorrreee). This was sposed to be a project car which turned into daily drive when alfa packed it in on me! Had descision, $$$$, now I realise I would have had alfa up and running.... but my baja has more style!lol.... (that's right $2, you keep reassuring yourself it was the best descision!!!):cry

ahhh but an alfa can't drive over traffic islands in peak hour:P
