I know a guy who just bought the Kombi that channel 10 in Sydney are currently using on their promo. The van was bought at a Starlight Foundation auction last week for $200. The van is registered. What a score.
ya kidding!
Havent seen it - what was it?
Mate ANYTHING registered - $200 ... WOW!
At the beggining of all the shows on channel 10 they play a short promo with a song. A bunch of celebritys are painting and signing the kombi. It is white with blue waves and stuff. Keep an eye out for it on the TV.
Top buy, lucky mate ay !!!!
:bounce
I suppose for that price you can either strip it back and paint it, or you can just drive it around as it is!
Ya just never know do ya. Might become as famous as the Hellbus eh?
I was offered a Kombi the other day, running for $50. Just needed a battery and two replacement doors. Other than that it looks ok. Didn't want
to face the wrath of the Minister of Acquisitions so passed it up.
You know..thats kinda cool

A couple of days ago I saw two kombi's painted very similar to that one with Channel 10 and McDonalds plastered all over then. They were up in Brissy but had NSW rego plates on.
Bugger, I probably should have stopped and had a look then
How many buses did they paint up?
I think it was a kool promo to include Kombi's

The kombi in the picture is the one the channel 10 celebs painted for the tv add. They must have got a good responce and decided to get some more painted to look the same and use them to drive around in. Go,Go Kombi's. :thumb

There are 8 Channel 10 promotional Kombis situated across Australia. The cars are being used for a 10 week publicity period over the summer months.
Canberra and Hobart are the only capital cities to miss out.
They were all put together here in NSW,hence the NSW registration, and then transported to the respective state capitals.
Vehicles will be offered for sale at the end of the contract out of Sydney
