What a morning...
KOM123 - December 9th, 2002 at 08:57 PM

What a crap morning, had to do some stuff before work and ended up running late, was almost at work when I realised that I'd left my lunch in the frdge at home and it's not pay day until Thursday, parked the Kombi at work and when to run upstairs......you know that dreaded feeling when the door slams shut and you instantly think #$%^ the keys are still inside!!!!

Let me tell you I couldn't slip any packaging strapping through the door for the life of me. Ended up calling the NRMA and the guy who turned up mentioned how difficult the good old Kombi was to get into (well on the upside that's a bit more peace of mind :)).

Eventually he got in and it turns out that he owns a Beetle himself (sounded like a pretty schmick on from his description). He also seemed to know a few people who owned various types of VWs and also seemed to know (or know of) Boris from VVW.

Small world sometimes...

Hope the day improved:)

My bad day started last Monday when the washing machine hose came off and flooded the place. The week went down hill from there but hey it's a whole new week now:thumb

I had an old Vee Dubber from the RACV help me one day with Bel. He was so thrilled but hasn't had a VW for quite a while, she brought back memories for him:sandrine

ah well... i guess we all have our bad days.

i think i have heard of a VW guy who works for NRMA road service. apparently he does tranny rebuilds for friends and stuff.

My Monday started really well when I found that my car drivers window had been left wound down since Saturday afternoon. My car sits on the street (not the VW) and it had rained about 5 times over the weekend.
Had a really wet arse by the time I got to work. Kool.

I had a crappy week too, I broke down in Rowville, I was stuck there for about 2 hours. No offense to any rowvillians, but damn that is one boring place.

My Mum's 89th birthday, taking her to lunch and Dr L's battery is flat, getting the RACV over, but Mum is at the front door of the Hostel waiting for me now!!!:(

Had staff go talk to Mum. Looks like afternoon tea the way it's going:(:(

We did make it for lunch and Mum looked great, she likes to dress up, pearls and all:)

Dr L started for me again thank goodness!

Pat next time break down in Drouin, such a friendly town. Just that I spent a few hours there a couple of months ago and it was actually enjoyable at times meeting the locals :)

Rowville is the extremely boring, my appologies also. Really almost any place is when you break down, you just don't want to be there:(

My day started when one of the many harddrives in my server died.
It took the proposal that I have to have finished by Friday lunch with it.
Spent the rest of the day rebuilding the server and restoring last nights backup didn't lose any data just a days time.
If I dont sleep and refold the space time continium I just might make it.
Still going to take Mandy out for her birthday dinner though - gotta get your priorites right.
Ah well feel much better now (This is SO much cheaper than therapy:D)

Ah well back to work:thumb

Yeah, I guess that anywhere you break down isn't any fun. I also shouldn't bag Rowville, I only live a couple of suburbs away in good old FTG.

Hey Jenz, where is Drouin? I've had a few people tell me it's a nice place.

As in Steve Carter with the yellow Bug?? That VW looks great :) Saw it at the Picnic Day a few months ago. Wish I had of known but then again not sure what difference it would of made. Funny things is I came very close to asking if he ever read this forum but never did ask. Kinda makes snese those as I'm thinking that he knew a hell of a lot more about VWs than he was letting on :)

Hi Steve if you're reading this!!

KOM123 - December 10th, 2002 at 07:19 PM

The Kombi was in the car park at our work (which is right next door to Macquarie Shopping Centre at North Ryde).

Pat, Drouin is before Warrugal sort of, down sunny Gippsland way

While I'm here:)

Didn't have a bad day but had an interview in the city. Just as I was about to walk out the door the phone rings and it is my son ringing from London. He's been travelling across Africa, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey for the past 8 mths and I have only spoken to him once on his birthday when he made sure he was near a phone.

Being me I had not allowed time for delays getting into town so I had to cut him short. Talk about timing:(

Well he's staying with a girlfriend of mine so I can contact him:bounce
