That sway bar is certainly a street sweeper.

Indian Automotive make a sway bar that does not get lower as the car does.

You'll notice as the front end gets closer the ground, so does the standard sway bar, because of it's shape. We use one that is fastened to the beam and it stays away from the road, a real plus.

BiX - May 12th, 2004 at 04:43 PM

mmmmmm mabye a little low, but who cares, aslong as it looks and or handles well!!!1

And how does it ride down there. I have to do some creative driving sometimes in mine, but it isn't as low as yours. You must drag the roadkill round with that swaybar! :D

pyr0 - May 13th, 2004 at 11:29 AM

thats awesome dead set mate that is one mean ride stance..... the only prob is i dont think you'd be able to get in to macca's :(

59 BUS - May 13th, 2004 at 12:28 PM

I was driving into Macca's at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast (the one near Cotton Tree) and it has a real steep angle to drive into, so I thought no problem i'll just take it an an angle, but it was too steep and I lifted the front right tyre and the rear left which was just spinning free, I has to get one of my mates to push a bit so I could get some power to the ground, made a good screech I tell you!

Damn!!!!!
That first bit as it's turning in looks like it's sliding

bugger - May 13th, 2004 at 03:15 PM

The hights just right, unless you have to drive over gravel. Pot holes must be a real bitch.
Seriously... That is one Sweet ride!

Secoh - May 13th, 2004 at 04:02 PM

hey, do you have a blue and white splitty too? I swear I saw them both parked on the street in Brisbane near kangaroo pt when I was up there visiting a mate! (I took a pic for the forums the day before my camera got nicked at Jamboree :()

59 BUS - May 13th, 2004 at 04:20 PM

Yes that would have been me, the blue and white is a friends bus. They do look good parked together!

BenettonVW - May 13th, 2004 at 10:07 PM

Thats the spirit.. Nice height.. You could always narrow the beam..

Cruzin in a Golf - May 13th, 2004 at 11:54 PM

wouldnt want to ignite ur tyres or anything else for that matter frenzix....i love the look of the ride 59 Bus. What engine you running in that?

Hmm. That would be cool. But don't bolt sheets of metal under there get up a couple of pieces of flint stone and hang them down on springs so they occasionally hit the ground. The springs with absorb the shock so it's not transfered to the car and the flint stone will shower sparks out the back.

KruizinKombi - May 14th, 2004 at 10:48 AM

That height looks awesome!! I'd be worried about turning into driveways though... do the fronts rub when turning on uneven ground?

59 BUS - May 14th, 2004 at 04:05 PM

I don't have any tyre rub problems at all (yet), I do run 45 profile fronts though!

The motor is a 1641 with a mild cam, smooth motor but there are plans for either a well hidden WRX motor or a 2.7 flat six corvair which is already in my shed!

Da Wiz - May 14th, 2004 at 04:39 PM
