i started a new job yesterday (in melbourne)

TELEMARKETING!!!!!:repuke

If anyone gets a call from Damien from "Dollarforce" dont hang up on him, cos it's me!!!:)

I'm not actually selling anything though.. just making appointments for financial advisors.. so im not TOO bad!

Sorry I hang up on ALL telly marketers especially when they ring at tea time.

I like asking them to hold while I get the appropriate person for them to speak to.... usually only takes about 2 minutes for them to hang up!

I used to work as a telly marketer when I was at uni!

Just do the usual 'give me your number and i'll get back to you when i'm free' :P

i feel really bad about being an asshole to telemarketers. i'll listen to what they have to offer and if its shite or uinteresting i'll just say "look sorry man i'm really not interested and dont want to waste your time, but good luck with it anyway" and say my goodbyes. i mean they are humans too and trying to make some money for a living instead of sitting on the dole, dont want to discourage them from doing their job too much so i!!!

Hmmmm...... I dont?!?

I liked it when my youngest was about 3.

They would ring and I would call Mat and say "Mat, its for you! Theay want to talk about Power Rangers"

They would soon hang up.
Occasionally though Mat would still be talking for a couple of minutes.

its hard.. but once you get one, the next comes a bit easier..

kinda annoying people say they arnt interested when im offering a benifitial meeting for free.. to promote the buisness expanding to sydney..

but i would do the same to a telemarketer.. im not fussed but.. aslong as i get a few appointments per night i get to keep the job:) and it pays well for an 18yr old w/o any commissions added on.

more interested in talking VW's will you all :)
