Back from cruise a little early as Brad Pitt makes me honk and i had a few things to sort.

Firstly , Lokita i hope your okay. I'll let Lokita tell that story , all i'm saying is BAD LUCK.

Apart from the above the night worked out really good. Numbers were down at Stanmore which got me worried but soon made up when we hit the drive-in. Greeted by a line of dubs waiting to pay entance and a huge line of cars in the parking area. Alot of guys from the forum and also KOM123 and his mates from "Flat 4" brought some rather tasty veedubs. In total about 15 or so Dubs of various shapes and sizes showed up. Everyone seemed happy with the turn out and just a shame it went dark so quick as i didn't have chance to look at the cars properly , take any pics or catch up with most people. This place is ideal for this sort of thing , spot on and alot of other classic car clubs there aswell which was a good mix.
In numbers this has doubled the numbers of the first cruise at Centenial Park so begs the question , whens the next one? This is just a quick rant from me. These cruises , meets etc is why i love owning one of these cars . Getting out meeting up , chatting crap alnight , catching up , whatever, it's a good time and you shouldn't have to wait til a club show , main event to meet up! To see a club like "Flat4" turn up and make an effort to get out and actually being bothered is so spot on. It wasn't down as a club run but still had a good few cool, fast cars in attendence. Will we see more clubs next time? Next time!
Well a Saturday evening for sure as i think this suits the masses but where? Maybe down South , maybe north , maybe an overnight option. Just my own ideas / thoughts but please let me know what you think. Aiming for August some time but maybe a few small meets at the drags in between for good measure.
If anyone didn't get a dash magnet let me know! Hope everyone enjoyed themselves!

Thanks Danny for the organising and the magnets. It would be good to stay over somewhere next time (an old house in the Blue Mountains?) and have a bit of a drinky poo if you're into that sort of thing.

Hey sorry to split early but had to catch up on a few things. Glad you showed and yea , the blue mountains is worth a look at for sure. If there was enough interest i'm sure cheap accomadation or similar could be sorted. I don't want to get carried away but if an o/n was avilable more people could attend i reckon. Early days but this will happen again for sure , i'll just carry on bugging ( no pun) folk into coming once we're got the next venue. All ideas really need to be keep to one thread though. I don't want to clog up " chat space" otherwise this will have to be moved to the events section which isn't the most popular section compared to this one. Any ho good night , thanks for coming!

A good roll up of dubs and a great night had by all. We should do this again in Spring when the nights are a little warmer.

Brum decided lastnite would be a perfect time to demand a new fuel pump so after 3 hours in Petersham, we got a tow to a friend's place nearby. She should be back on the road in a couple of days.
