Anyone reconise these bumper bars?
Dannyboy - May 23rd, 2004 at 12:28 PM

( Bad pics sorry) I'm after some of these bars. The rear doesn't normally stick out so. In the 80's in the UK they were called "buggy bars" but were fitted to alot of Cal looks at the time. I want some but don't even know what they'd be called here in Oz and where i may track some down.

Any ideas?

Not sure on the legality of them tho.

"Nudge bars"....... nerf bars go over the tyres on gocatrs etc so they dont climb things ..... eh i know wat i meen..... the nudge bar.... get sum tube, bend it up and bolt on some type of clamp..... chrome it up and bob's ya uncle frint clamp to the beam.... rear to the frame horn.... and of ots a cal it should be low so the sump is protected aswell ...... ;)

i'm pretty sure they clamped to the beam anyway....

and yeh, could be easier to get some made up than to try and find original ones.

but danny, why????? your bumpers looked to be in very good nik, so why swap them for dodgy bent bits of pipe?

Dannyboy.67 you look like like you have got some cool old drag photos if so post them up they are always great to see PS if you are going to make the nudge bares up yourself be sure to use mandrel bends as they look a lot beter than an exhaust shop bend that is all shrunk in the bend.

You can get them custom Made from People who make aluminium bullbars etc... My Son had some made for His Baja.
Front & rear... about 30mm OD.. Light and strong...
I prefer bumpers...
