As per usual, I fly up here, and I'm bored. Is there anything on tonight? Besides some thugs on a field somewhere.

I'm considering going seeing a film, but first I need food. I'll be foraging around for a little.

I don't usually have this much time free, so I tend not to announce my trips. For example, last night I worked until midnight for example, and that would have been boring for others to watch me look at firewall logs.

The bad thing is that I usually don't get a Friday in any place that I fly to. If I did, I'd stay and enjoy myself. I've heard there's beers at a certain VW shop and I really want to go there sooner or later. :)

I used to live here, so I know most of the good places (which suit me :)

I might go to the Basement if there's something worth seeing. Or a film. Or use the drinks card the hotel gave me.

Mate - Go to the Cross and kick some junkies. Guaranteed hours of fun! Take public transport tho'. Your quarterglass and stereo will be gone in 3.4 seconds otherwise.

I ended up going to the Gallery open they had in the lobby and admiring the Aboriginal art they had there. The couple of the artists were there, too. Very cool.

Watched a bit of BB Uncut, but that was dull - showed nothing of interest, so I headed to the hotel's bar and had myself a double neat single malt and read the paper for the first time in ages.

Lastly, as a nightcap, I had a great Cointreau on ice with a hunk of real lime.

Excellent.

Make sure you come up next time on either the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of each month ... then you can come along to our VW Club meeting.
