I lowered the back of my beetle another notch the other night, my problem is its now so low that I cant fit the bump stops, and my shocks are bottoming out. any ideas??
Cut off bumpstops...... and get shorter shocks....? seriously i dont know... but i may have this prob soon.... let me know how you go about fixing it
yeah let me know too Rhett ill be see u soon down where the silent policemen hang :P
raise it back up
:vader
ummmm not sure what they look like but most of the 'cool dudes' in commodores falcons and so on usually cut the bump stop in half, and only fit one half. but i'm guessing your is a rubber one on the control arm or something so all i just did was waste your time!@!!!!#$#$!!!
I have smaller then stock bump stops I think most vw places sell them
I was thinking of cut ing the bumpstop in half and trying to source some shorter shocks.......
Sorry astro raising it is not an option!!!
It looks bloody great, the mudflaps are dragin its so low!!
post some pics!
saw you today Rhett near Quarry Hill, was in friends car, did u see the gold xy falcon? Anyway i noticed that the bug was looking very low!!! It looks awesome mate! And sorry cant help you with your problem except that i hope you can rectify it.:bounce
I could be wrong but is the inside spline of the torsion bar the same as the outside????? if not maybe you can lower it 1/2 as much and maybe you'll be able to drive it as well as look at it .
just cut half the seat springs and you`ll be riding low (LOL)
sorry couldnt help it, i think thats a ricer boy thing:vader
shorten the bumpstops and if the height between shock bolts is shorter than shock length shorter shocks is the go
rhette drive slowly over bumps ...
take out all suspension and weld in some pipes. have it as low as you want then!!!!!
LEt us know how youve gone rhett...... i am having same prob at the moment...... can we remove the bumpstops all together?
how was it fixed rhett.... im at the same height :d cant stop smiling
