i don't know if how many of you know john, but if you have been to any of the brisbane veedub shows you are bound to have seen his beautiful type 3 sqaureback.
its the gorgeous 2 tone purple and silver one that won at the pineapple and dubs by the pub shows.....
or you might know him from the Qld VW Drivers club - he's the one who got me into the "clubbie scene" and has always been a great friend and a generous beer-buying-buddy always on hand to give me advice about my T3 and never rubs it in just how crap my car is compared to his lovely machine....
well, john is very ill at the moment up at the PA hopsital with heart troubles and had a very major operation last night. i spoke to his lovely wife this morning and sent all of our best wishes for his speedie recovery.
i plan to go and visit him early next week, when he is out of ICU, and promised to take plenty of VW magazines to him to keep the boredom at bay and to satisfy his volkswagen cravings (no doubt he is having type3 withdrawls, never a pretty thing)
so if anyone has any mags they want to donate, send me a u2u and i'll make sure he gets them (my collection is very tattered and limited) - and at the very least, keep him in your thoughts and prayers because he is such a lovely guy (even if he does talk your ear off at a million miles an hour!!!! heheheh) and a commited dubber with the most stylin' type 3 i have ever seen!
