Got the saving bluesWhat new parts are you saving for?
Dannyboy - May 28th, 2004 at 10:40 PM

Saving for things really does suck. Not being the most patient of people when it comes to saving for new bits for my 67. Currently living like a student so i can order my new rims , some Erco's.

What are you saving for?

Dan:)

thankgod i have 2 credit cards.
thankgod i always have a bus ticket and a phone card in my wallet!!!
thankgod i have 2 credit cars (oops, did i say that already?)
thankgod you can pay rego on credit cards.
thankgod you can pay virtually EVERYTHING by credit card.
thankgod i am not someone who needs matierial things to make themselves feel like a complete and whole person, thankgod i don't judge my own sucess by the "things" that i possess thankgod my friends still see me as a valid human even if i don't have the latest ipod or video mobile or funkiest sneakers.
but thankgod it is free to daydream about all the stuff i would like to buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lil dub - May 31st, 2004 at 04:04 PM

personally i reckon you should put the washing machine at the top of the list drew......for no particular reason except that a man can never have too many whitegoods!
;)

Dannyboy - May 31st, 2004 at 09:05 PM

That big bottle , pot whatever you throw your loose change in , the pro's and con's my friends......................

Pro's is that i've managed to save $367.65 in a space of 6 months. This pays a third towards my new rims!!!!!!!:)

Con's is that i've had to count it all out twice!!!!!!!:bounce

Dasdubber - May 31st, 2004 at 09:22 PM

Trying to save for a custom exhaust for the type IV (in my bug) - that is going to hurt the bank balance.

Also need to put some aside for the order coming from CB performance (credit card) plus the mallory unilite dizzy from aircooled.net (that is really going to hurt).

Of course there is a thing called a wedding in October as well - better put a few dollars aside for that (now it is really hurting).

ouch.

Kruizin_76 - May 31st, 2004 at 09:22 PM

for me quite simple,
1: paying ski trip to NZ
2: saving to put a lick of paint on my 76 bus,

3) Reco brakes on kombi (parts only)
4) Cd/MP3 player for kombi
5) Retrim seats in kombi
6) New headliner for kombi
7) Panelbeat & paint kombi
8) New exhaust for kombi
9) Pay off my credit card (which I cut in half about a month ago)
10) Put a tyre on the spare wheel for the front of the kombi
11) Custom rear bar for the kombi with twin swing-away spare carriers
12) Custom front bar for kombi with high-mount electric winch
13) Headlight upgrade for kombi
14) Replace Britax sunroof in kombi with an electric slider
15) Twin battery system for kombi
16) Reco carbies for kombi
17) Electronic dizzy for kombi
18) New clutch for kombi

am now saving up for spending money whilst in New Zealand Skydiving.

Da Wiz - June 1st, 2004 at 07:34 PM

Hmmmm

Just watched the TopGear video of the Mercedes McLaren SLR motor car ... and well lets just say that there was no need for porn to get me off ...

That car is unbelievable!!! I had a friend watch it who despite his best intentions is a die hard Ford fan, who is anti everything from Germany (I think just to spite me) and even he was left stunned, amazed and begging for more. It's a shame its an automatic, but hey if I had a car like that I wouldn't want to be held up with changing gears and such, when the left hand could be better used for fondling whatever hottie is in the passenger seat!

If you haven't seen this car - do yourself a favour and get this clip! ...and don't forget the tissue box!

hmmmm Savings = $123.37
McLaren Mercedes SLR ~ $600,000.00

...not long to go now :)

buzzbug - June 2nd, 2004 at 05:34 PM

back to the empi gtv whell for me.

no NZ trip just yet

DOH.
