Hi does anyone know how common the beetle pedal cars are?
The one I was going to buy for my little girl is a tin one with tin wheels and rubber tyres and the only plastic on it is ment to be the hubcaps and
the actual peddles.
Does any one want to give me an age (aprox) and he wants $250 is this too much - ment to be in real good condition
any help would be great as i have not seen it yet but it is a long way to drive if not worth it
the last tin car I saw was in Kangaroo Valley in NSW..it was not VW... was in poor condition and missing a wheel...the price on it was $ 600...hope this helps..
I seen photos a long time ago , they sell for heaps ,um ebay some times .I know a guy in perth that buy these toys ,he makes big $ selling them over
seas .
have a look under the body some times there is marking on them .
I am not sure if I would let my kids play on them as my two ram the walls ect .
We just bought a tin pedal car off ebay and it is in good condition and we payed $250 for it and that included postage. i have seen them go for
$800.
As long as it has all the bits and isn't rusty or damaged then yes you are getting it for a good price.
Any tin cars I've seen are in the upwards mark of 500
Thanks for your feed back ducky - wag - seagull - 3.5
I will drive up to take a look now as me mate took the time to ring me and tell about it (and he collects Harleys) but now I have an idea what they go
for me misses might say yep
Cheers all
;)
There are plenty around, all at different prices.
I paid $30 for this one two years ago at a Canberra Swap.
After an almost full resto it is almost where I want it to be. Still need to make up a plastic windscreen to complete.

There are several for sale at a shop in Haberfield in Sydney, I have also seen them for sale at Quakers Hill Hardware. No Beetles though, various
other old car makes.
Hope this helps.
