I hate matlab!!!!!
BiX - June 7th, 2004 at 04:14 PM

I hate matlab, I hate leslie matrices and I hate convenction equatiosna and I hate having to combine the last two with the first!!!!!!!

but only 14 days to go and 2 assignments and 2 exams and as of tom morn 1 assigment and 2 exams

then lots of :beer:beer:beer

sorry for the rant

well matlab is a math program that is pure evil. leslie matrices are used for population modeling and convection is like heat convection, but we are modeling it from its basic form :repuke

Hehe, yeah, matlab kinda sucks. I like mathematica better, but there's certain stuff that matlab can do better I think.

Good luck, not long to go now. Cheers!

matlab! EWWW!!
I'm so glad I don't hafta do maths for my course, all I need to do is think in code! (probably almost as bad i guess)

mathmatica??
hell we use that shit in school...it comes standard as part of the school software. can be a bit dodgy though for specialist maths though we found.

The annoying thing about convection equations is that there are heaps of them and none of them are 100% correct. You just gotta use your judgement on which is the most appropriate.

In real life, I use a few of the equations, and get a feel for the range between them. If they are all pretty close then your close enough. If you have a big range then try to figure out why, and how to make things more accurate, or what assumptions your missing.

Well that is what we are being taught, We also use alot of diffusion for looking at chemical/pollutant dispersion in soil, water and air. its so much fun!!!!!!

drew, you're so lying.
you totally get off on matlab.
you're so into it. its scary!!!!!!!!!!
weirdo engineers...................

well mmmmmmmmm. it is good fun to play with and when stuff works, but its hard when stuff doesn't work

Hehehehe.......
Just like any ungermaneering, it's all one big assumption isn't it. Keep guessing until it matches what you think happens in real life :P :P :P
Try good old strand instead... :puke
