I have no idea where the bast place to jack up a VW beetle is to get it off the ground.... where do i put the trolley jack?

Umm, I'd suggest somewhere under the car would be a good spot to put the jack...

i need to jack the rear end up, where do place the jact to lift it without hurting anything

To jack the front I position the jack under the botton torsion tube, or the frame head.

To jack the rear I jack at the outside of the rear torsion bar housing and then place a stand under the torsion bar inboard of the spring plate, then do the same on the other side.

But in all seriousness, under the front beam, or the rear torsion tube, if your jacking the bum end, are the best places.
