68AutoBug - December 17th, 2002 at 07:36 AM

Did I see a mention of revolks in a post Yesterday as being..... ???? Dodgy??? or whatever... They are the Ones selling the EMPI electronic ignition for $65-00AUS + Insur.
Has anyone had bad dealings with them??? Has anyone had any GOOD dealings with them??

yes that was me
I bought on e-bay a pair of empi mud flaps
but received only one. This is going back nearly 3 months ago. they said it was empi's problam/fault and I had to wait until empi sent them another single flap. Anyway they said they now have it and have shipped it so I'm still waiting. I think it should be o-kay and I'll eventually get it. But hey what can I do??? They do return e-mails quickly though.

I bought a pair of bus empi side steps and although had to wait ages to get them, had no troubles outherwise. My mate bought a roller pedal and something else small and received it no worries within a couple of weeks. They were prompt to return emails.

i bought a roller pedal some window vents eyelids and billet window wipers.. received the winders and vents ok... but the roller pedal i got from ebay was delivered as a three piece pedal cover kit instead.. and the eyelids.. well they turned into catseyes :(

Grey57, take note the mention of ebay;)

A single mud flap instead of a pair!! I'd be very

Catseyes instead of eyebrows  again!

Definitely the overseas prices seem attractive. How have you found the postage costs?

Well I'll continue gradually getting what I want for Bel here until I find myself ready to go with her and need something I can't find or that I can afford etc, etc.

Thanks Jen, noted.
I got some German Eyebrows from ISP West vai ebay. Smooth transaction. Emailed an invioce before shipping not a problem.
Was still a tense moment before I opened the box wondering if I would get the right bits, but it all worked out fine.

Doesn't ebay have its own insurance for this sort of thing ?
If it does then your actually better off by buying off a supplier through ebay :o

vdub2c - December 18th, 2002 at 11:32 PM

but i added more parts to the order...
the poor people must've got confused!

oh well learnt my lesson... one part at a time.

68AutoBug - December 19th, 2002 at 02:45 AM

The prices revolks quote for freight are VERY CHEAP ... probably USA$ but still very inexpensive.... Does anyone insure their parts purchases from the USA???
That may make it expensive....
I bought a Pair of Genuine VW NOS made in Venuzuela in 1968 Mudflaps for $60 a few years ago... (NO Brackets) Was that expensive?? I have seen them advertised over $100AUs in Aussie VW mags a few years ago..
The fellow on ebay replies very promptly with emails ... seems OK... EMPI dealer..

Lee,
word of warning they are the people that got 2 out of 4 parts wrong to me when they shipped.. :cussing
so i'm guessing if you keep the order simple.. it should be fine and yes they are cheap.. but don't bulk order.. they get confused i think.

good luck!:thumb
