Next year might be a better christmas, this one sux.

You can't post a letter-
You can't buy food-
You can't find a carpark-
You can't even get a wave from fellow dubbers.

Everyones too busy for a cuppa,
too tired to chat,
to important to remember ya.

The country is much nicer - I'll have a merry on then when I get outta this place.

Now Ive got a fulltime job I guess I couldn't ask for much more than great friends - and I've met a few from here.;)

Bronze sounds like a bad day?:(

You're usually so up and positive

It is a crazy time of year, so much happening in a short period of time.

I've completely avoided shopping centres and when I look at the crowds in the centre of Melbourne I think no way am I going into that. Hmmm, Hardware Lane is a little haven:)

It's so sweet driving Bel around with her tinsel and stars, I have people in the cars next to me smiling and people comment if I'm getting out of her. A little light relief for stressed out Melbournians:rudolf :thumb

The kids (young adults) and I are keeping it very simple this year. No presents, a BBQ and each others company. A time when none of us has to be anywhere else :tree

Some of my best Christmas's have been when I've been nursing, just making the day better for other people. It can be a hard time of the year for some to get through.

A special Merry Christmas to those out there and working on the big day :party

I haven't had a VW fix in about a week. The Dog (Dog-O-War 71 Baja) has a bit of a limp and hasen't left the kennel in about a week. My mate Azza has done a rippa job fixing the pedal assembly but I quite literally haven't had enough time to go out and put it all back together for a try. I shouldn't be driving it anyhow as the tranny and engine rubbers are all perished and I need a new rubber boot on the drivers side.

I have been driving the wifes car around this last week and noticing the growing list of problems it is developing making funds for the Dog-O-War even further away - New tyres, new rotor button - new leads and probably new plugs too I guess until I find the problem.

Mustang Sally works at a shopping centre which is two things. Expensive during her lunch break and frustrating for me dropping her off and picking her up anywhere within the 3k's around it. Cars lined up for three blocks waiting to just get into the centre itself - it's madness!

Tinsel sounds like a great idea for the Baja.
Cheering others up might just rub off on me. Their nothing exciting about driving a Ford but the Baja is another story.

Some good news though -
We've secured a home in Dubbo, :)
It's not as much of a rat race as Newcastle. ;)

jenz58 - December 21st, 2002 at 09:14 AM

Shopping centres at Christmas time:o

Excellent news, a house in Dubbo!!:thumb

Hope Dog-O-War is out of it's kennel soon

Funny how everything always seems to happen or needs doing around this crazy season, as much as we try to prepare for it :jesus

Hmmm, I know a little island/coral cay in Micronesia, N-W Pacific. Tiny old grass hut over the water, very friendly owners cook meals for you/traditional diet, 5 minutes to walk whole island. Amazing coral and marine life:) I'm dreaming of my next Christmas far from the madding crowd:rudolf
