I have a 72 squareback that needs to be done up to get it back on the road.
Does anyone know of someone in Melbourne who can do a basic resto to make it roadworthy as my wife would like to have a car.

Yes, they are very funky - and practical! Not sure what I'm going to do with mine yet. Jenz posted a pic of a sweet squareback rat which i fell in love with. Still deciding wether to rat mine or what. Have to find some cash first though so it might take a back seat until we move.

Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread Beetle Bailey - hope you find someone who can help!

Volkommen Art (in Clayton) might do it....they did a great job touching up my bug to get it on the road, they aren't cheap but you get what you pay for
