Hey all, long time no post (computer troubles)
Was visiting a mechanic today and noticed an old 1800 engine (complete less flyweel) up the back looking lonely. Asked about it and how much. Guy
tells me its been sittin for 4-5 years on a shelf (does'nt know anything else about it) (might have come with the business). Anyway its right up the
back so I can't get to it (yet) and have a closer look. Managed to reach the dipstick and she still has her oil.
Guy wants $400 for it,,
What do you guys/gals/Miriams think ? Will it be worth a resto? or will the long sit have caused damage ?
ps, Picked up an old Bay (75) the other day for parts and will wreck it soon (keep you posted)
Cheers
Dave
:repuke:kiss
really hard to say
I take it you mean a Type 4 motor for a bus??
If it comes with carbs, heater boxes and exhaust then it is probablly worth it for those parts and bits.
if you dont need it then it is too much
sounds okay but it would be good to fire it
