i have noticed all the pictures on the side of the screen next to peoples names, and figured out (over some weeks) that that is the avatar. So i thought i'd give it a go....but how? i went to my profile and there is only a thin line which when i click on it, it goes blue, so what do i type in there?

maybe i should call my self rumplestilthskin...or just dopey, but i don't get it.

first get a pic thats 100 by 100 pixels and then take the web address and put it in the field that says avatar and it should work

aaah, so what if i have a pic in my own computer folder that i want to use, like an attachment i guess? or wont that work?

thats fine you just need to upload it the same as photos to use it

i host a few members avatarsa for them, if you'd like you can send me the image via email, i will resize it for you, and email you back the link to get it showing

offer is for all members also.. my webspace just sits there, and it's free/un-interupted so if anyone else needs it, gimmie an e-mail

i use photoisland.com to host all the pictures and avatars i use on the forums
