can you use the old fender beading?

As the heading says ,can i use the old fender beading ?
I took of the rear guards today and the original beading is still in good nick ,came off in one piece a bit grubby but will clean up nice.

got any trick to keeping the bead lined up when putting the guard back on?

Yeh, what I do is bolt the guard up with two turns on the bolts then feed it back in then nip the bolts up slow making sure it lines up ok:)

give it a scrub up,,, make sure its not brittle and should be OK to use

even putting it in a bucket of hot water "from the tap" will help it.
