NEVER ever use Armorall on Window rubbers to help You push the rubbers into place.... as I have heard ... A few people have
done this.. now whether this was in AUST or the US I don't know... but the same thing happens... You slam Your door with the windows closed...
and out POP the windows.... Well probably only One would pop out... but You would then have to take them all out and take the armorall off the
rubber... Soapy water is the go....:o
Yeah, I've heard the use of products such as WD40 and CRC being recommended - but Armour-All? You sure someone wasn't having a lend of
you?
(WD and CRC are designed to soak in, A-A is designed to stay on the surface; to look glossy.)
I thought Armor-all was evl and you aren't supposedto use it on anything because it contains silicon?

and definately do put the stuff anywhere near ya whitewalls. unless you wan the yellow look.:puke
I scraped one of my whitewalls last week bumped a gutter and made

i think you just have to get the whole thing redone. i have tried diff things like touch up etc. makes it look worse. i have three that are trashed
now. funny, though, the drivers side front is perfect. must be that survival instinct thing....
oh and i meant to say "DON'T put armoral near ya white walls". just in case some reads my first post and doesnt pick up my typo. goes
and tries it and then sends me something nasty.

you should never use armourall on your hair or face. btw that green text is hard to read
If you have to lubricate glass to get in somewhere, window cleaner is the go.
As for silicone, it is not harmful to your car as such, but if a car is dripping with it, it makes us painters get nightmares when painting.
It is an infection to the surgery of spraypainting.
Not allowed in panel shops at all.
Peter.
I think you'll find that its a myth. I'd like to talk to the person that had this happen. The stuff isnt that slippery!

*curses*
I guess I will just have to get that wheel redone.
Blame Flying VW, it was the gutter outside his house that I stuffed it on...

I always use non silicon based product such as the "Mothers" range and it look great on my Black Bug.
Armorall is evil and should never be put on tyres or any rubber as it will make them go brown after a while.
and Jay, get Nick & George to get your 1 tyre re done, its the only way, and get your spare done as well so you can change it while you get your
damaged one done.
I need to get my front two done again. bugger bloody gutters
[Edited on 8-1-2003 by Aussie BLKBUG]
Hey Stealthy - I am pretty sure I got my spare done at the same time as the others were.
Maybe we can get ours done at the same time - do you think it would be cheaper??
Jay

sure would, I'll be in that
COOOOOOLLLLLLDDDDDDD??????:o
I love Aamorall its a great product
OK Stealth, we'll have to organise it when I get home. Sounds very good to me
Yes its cold!
I can describe cold in more detail if you go in the chat room :P
apparently Armorall is good for putting all over everything when you are wishing to sell your car. It is also excellent on some steering wheel rims.
lol amazer
armourall protects your skin against the sun's harmful UV rays! And it doubles as a deodorant!
Armourall , brings my suit of armour up a treat before i go out on a saturday evening.:thumb
Oh and (not sure if I believe this one tho) I heard that you can put it on disgusting food like brussell sprouts and swallow them whole with out the
need to chew.:thumb:thumb :puke
I just read the label on Armorall and it says NOT to use on Plastics, Seats, Steering Wheels & brake pedals etc.... as it will Be VERY Slippery...
like in windows popping out....
Still hard to believe.... The windows don't just fall into place.... as You find out when taking the old ones out... although New Rubbers would
be pretty supple I suppose...... I'll be finding out shortly...
but just in case.... I'll be using Biodegradeable soapy Water ... :o:o:bounce
it says windows popping out? cool. Mate I wouldnt use it for putting windows in either cos I would drop the window But the rubbers are a pain to get
on and the window doesnt exactly pop in even with supple new rubbers.
If theres enough force to pop a window out then I wouldnt want to have my eardrums in there at the time.
In the past when cars used to have black plastic bumpers I used armourall on them. They look nice momentarily and eventually go white. BAD STUFF.
When I sold the EF falcon I drowned the sucker in it. Esp under the bonnet. The paint was redone after my wife decided she would shorten the overall
length of the car and plant a big lipstick kiss on the airbag. So when I finished with armour all the underbonnet area looked brand spanking new. MWA
HA HA. Told the guy it was meticulously maintained. Little did he know but the original fuel filter was changed at 117,000 kays. GOOD STUFF.
Definitely wouldnt use it on pedals or steering wheel. Pretty dangerous, and you get your hands greasy all the time. BAD STUFF.
I have always used windex for putting windows in. You need it to clean yer grubby paw prints off the glass anyway. EEWW shudders at the thought of
getting armour all off windows. Windex is magic stuff. Now theres something you can put on your face. Gets rid of pimples too. Seen My Big Fat Greek
Wedding yet? You should. very funny.
You cant use water silly. Its a drought :P Poor fishies will have nothing to ... do their stuff in and make little fishies.
