Well it was an adventure and a half but Im glad to say we made it. After three solid day of packing for 10 hours a day and then the cleaning for the
bond of course. Anyone who has moved any distance can understand the stress involved. We wouldn't have been able to do if it wasn't for the
outlaws helping out.
We had a 4.5 tonne Canter fully loaded with the a "No Gaps" Policy, the telstar chocked with computer, T.V., playstation, and kids, etc
The Baja had the trolly, a go kart and 5 bikes on the roof rack. It was certianly a sight. The inside was not only packed with me but a fish tank,
tool boxes, plants, posters and a suitcase. I got a few looks. Looks loks a marriage gone bad and I got all the kids things!
Anyhow - 10 mins out of Newcastle on the freeway the front gearbox nose rubber snapped and I swayed and crabbed my way for the next 5 and a 1/2 hours
to Dubbo. Couldn't get over 80k and hour and the wind and humps would cause the Dog-O-War to sway all over the road. Luckly the roads are wide.
Many of the hills were third gear and a couple were definately second being fully loaded.
Any how apart from the telsar having it's front end smashed by a dog playing chicken and the Canter having it's front end smashed in by a
Roo thinking it was a chicken too. Other than that everything went well. I've contacted my new boss, reading up on content for this semester and
caught up with Grey 57 for dinner and beers with his lovely family. No is a time of rest and a catch up on posts of the last week or so while my ankle
(twisted twice) and heels recover.
:repuke Who said moving was fun? :repuke
The boys have finally got a back yard to play in the sprinkler.
so now I've just got the Garage to sort through.
Special thanks to Kris - our truck driver, Ripplybulldog for a spare tyre for the baja just in case, Grey57 for being our first guests and the Inlaws
for helping out where required.
Thanks guys.
Congratulations Bronze! Glad you made it there safe... errr... well you did, doesn't sound so good for the other vehicles.
Baja looks great with all the bikes on top hehehhehehe

Dubless in Canada
Congratulations Bronze, I bet you'll all be much happier than in the Strata Title!
Now you realise that you wouldn't have had any trouble if you had a kombi.....
Yeah I know that Colin - first thing I did was pace out the size of the house (didn't have a key till the wife arrived) and then I paced out the
back yard. I reckon I can fit several vehicles along the back fence and still have a yard for the kids. The first purchase will hopefully be a split
bus or a camper I can Baja. This will be some months off but all the same always good to hold onto some dreams.
Now I just have to convince the boss - I'll do it while wheeling the first in the the backyard.
Shiiit Bronze that roof is Loaded... how many kids you got.
hope this job is worth it.
Looks good so far - Ill let you know. Can't back out now.
I've been to the school. It's pretty awesome. Ultra modern and all neat gizmos you could want.
The inlaws told Santa to get bikes for Xmas - They will pay as will Santa next year. I'm going to get fireworks and let the kids play with them
inside.
Grats on a safe and successful move!! Now the unpacking!!!!
Thats what I call a Packed Roof..... BAJA
Never seen anything like it!!!
Just as well You took the photo .... :o:bounce
Its all behind You know until NEXT time...
and if You any problems with the kids...
Nice Zoo at Dubbo:bounce
Glad you all arrived safely despite the dramas
Sure you couldn't have put something else onto the roof rack?:o
It's good to see you've got the camera out again. Have missed your family pics
Happy house warming:bounce:party
Not much room in the Garage.....
Lots of boxes for the kids to play with...
:thumb:bounce:bounce
The yard certainly seems alot more impressive than the last one.....
Miss you all already Spook, Mel, Azza, Sam, Jim, Nathan, Craig and Scott. Sorry we didn't get around to see you before we left but unfortunately
you weren't the only ones.
All thing going better than they have been we hope to be back around Easter for the Dune runs and Nationals. Sort you gear out mate so you can join us
eh!
Yeah it's a much better yard alright. You know the old one Spook- If both of us sat down there wasn't much room for the kids to play, eh?
Anyhow - were here now. Time to pay for it all and make the panel beaters rich.
Here's the result of our no gaps policy when we packed the truck. We've already removed all the stuff that fell out when we opened the
door/s. When we hire it the bloke said that a Uni student will make three trips for a one bedroom unit and a family of four can usually move with one
trip when a bit of though is put into the packing - turns out he was right thankfully!
You are a master of packing, no wasted space anywhere:o
See you've made up for time lost off of the forum, 32 posts and member of the day:thumb
...it was a slow night on the net and I had a week of posts to catch up on. It was actually Colin who told me I had made member of the day. Can't
think of a name to go on my thingo below my nick. Adz and I came up with 'Bush Turkey' mabey but it has nothing to do with posting.
Funny I thought up most of the current ones by posting about 30 in a 1/2 hour - now I can't think up just one for myself. Mental block.
I think Sal trying to give me a hint - She's moving boxes around in the Garage - mabey I should go and help here, but I know if I do I be left
out there and she'll grab the net - we really need a couple of network cards!
