I get this also from my work computer...
Same here with my desktop, my laptop is fine and it's the same IP?:alien
I've just checked - we only have one single person banned by IP address. Can you please let us know which ISP you're with?
thanks,
Andrew

Its the old site.
if you tpe http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum
you will have no problem
I am having to refresh evey other time i go to a differant page.
What is the problem
[Edited on 19-1-2003 by 57kombi]
nope, if i type in aussieveedubbers.com/forums it still happens on the work computer.
work uses IDL as an ISP.
Andrew,
I'm on an adsl with tpg (fixed IP) they just had me change to using a proxy server (proxy.tpg.com.au port 80) and I also got this message.
People can try changing their proxy to
210.9.195.15 port 3128
Its a free independant proxy - BTW isn't it a bit odd to ban someone by IP ? it isn't exactly hard to get round.
(Much more efficent to go round and break their fingersso they can't type :thumb)
I know people who would be in that - Email me their addresses.
An Email from Steve I recieved this morn. His Email is astro@midcoast.com.au
Hi Bronze
Could you please find out off Brad or Andrew why my access to the Forum
has
been restricted. I have had this problem for the last couple of days. I
keep getting this message: "Access to this website is currently not
possible as your hostname/IP appears suspicous."
Any help would be great.

Congratulations Rhys, welcome back mate!
So what fixed it?
i was having the same problem(from the 15th of jan (or there abouts) but only on my work pc. i could still get in at home...
but i came into work today and wanted to chec some stuff... and voila! it's now working

Sorry, it was the new version. I changed config.php so that it no longer "checks" the IP address by trying to do a reverse lookup.
If you came from a site that used a proxy server that had no reverse IP address, then it would fail. So most ISPs or businesses that used transparent
proxies failed.
So anyway, the buggy check has been disabled and wont be coming back.
If there are other issues, please let us know - we can only fix them if you pipe up.
Andrew
Thanks gents - so are you out there Astro?
Taz and I have been having heaps of probs tonight with the forum- we keep gettin this message.

Pages load really slow, I mean really really slow and evey second will just display that above on a white page. I reloaded my browser a couple of
times and it worked well untill just now again.
This is weird as I'm having no problems on Optus Net. I'm not disputing that you're having problems, but it's weird that is
problematic for some but not others.
Andrew
i get thius coming up when i come in ::::
Hey, it worked !
The SSL/TLS-aware Apache webserver was
successfully installed on this website.
If you can see this page, then the people who own this website have just installed the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL
(mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real
content.
ATTENTION!
If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending mail to
<webmaster@domain>.) Although this site is running the Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to the Apache Group, so
please do not send mail about this site or its contents to the Apache authors. If you do, your message will be ignored.
The Apache online documentation has been included with this distribution.
Especially also read the mod_ssl User Manual carefully.
Your are allowed to use the images below on your SSL-aware Apache Web server.
Thanks for using Apache, mod_ssl and OpenSSL!
so i have to type http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forums
cheers

Why type it - once you choose it as your default home page you will never have to go anywhere ever again!
Thanks Andrew, It's seem to be going better now as if nothing had happened.
