just got back.
saw lots of cool customs.
no dubs tho.
this red one "dumped" was certainly that.
looked like it was sitting on the ground. this was the best custom i have ever seen.
there was also a 57? chev that had a rolls royce? aircraft engine in it. over 1000cu. i think the announcer quoted 3000hp
this thing needed the parachute that was strapped to the back, and brown underpants are just as important as the roll cage and helmet
I wonder if we will see Rod giving Victor Bray an ass-whooping?
sorry the pics are so large, i thought i had the camera set to take smaller images.
i will reduce the resto of them b4 i post any more, cos i have got a shit load more.
i saw some cool spot lights that mount in the regular mirror position, near the a pillar. lense was about 6-8cm in diameter.
they looked like a new item. iwonder if anyone has seen these b4.
i want some for my project.
i will post pics soon, once i reduce the size
Those lights are available from a few hot rod supply joints...and yes they do look kinda cool.
There is a name for them but.....
I used the small one as the boost gauge housing for the jet bike.

Ben Gatts 'dumped' is 1939 lincoln zephyr, its actually a fiberglass body bought of the internet, http://www.decorides.com, great car but he sold his 1950 mercury to buy the lincoln. personally id rather the steel merc, but the glass lincoln is definatley kool!
The Kings of all the trailer Queens - I bet you not on car was started on the day so people could appreciate the mechanicals and notes. Thats what
shits me about these shows. The other half of a nice car is hearing it but the dont want to blue the chrome exhausts!
Theirs trailer queens and then there is useless - these will never get to see a road le alone be started so whats the point.
Give me practical anyday.
PS There was that 1650ci chevs website posted a short while ago. Showed a good run of pics on the build.
Sweet Pics Golde60!!
Hey Speedster356 does that jet bike work?? Looks like fun.
Saw some nice hot rods on the road on Sunday and Monday, must have been coming or going to the show maybe?
Hmm, that red one doesn't do back streets with speed humps that for sure, probably have trouble getting over a peddle. Can see where Bronze is
coming from
Both the Gatt's red Zephyr and Rod Hatfield's Chev are started and driven...
The Gatt's are well known for building hot cars and giving them solid workouts...
Trailers are required to take them to shows so that they are in excellent condition for shows... no road grime or anything.... it is not always the
case that they are trailer queens.
if u like the bike, checkout my website. http://www.geocities.com/thereturnofthesixfootmidget heaps of cool dragsters. i also have two for sale(in the mybikes section) club discounts. also just picked up a Schwinn Spitfire cruiser. if u need parts or anything just ask. there is nothin in bikes quite like riding a dragster or cruiser.
Hey Golde60,
The lights you are talking about are DUMMY SPOT LIGHTS. They do not work and are just for show. Old police cars in the US had working ones, the DUMMY
ones were popular in the 1950's. I have a new set of 2 forsale at $100, about half normal price.
Same as on this Ford:
jeez check out the size of that coke cup, its huge
o yeah that cars ok too....................
:bounce
BIG GULPS RULE!!!!! and that shoebox ford ooooh my dream car!!:thumb
And I love the Over done flame job.
Twin Spinner kool. Luv the flame job too. Head lights look familiar, do you reckon they are off a Vee Dubb.
