yeah there was about 30 or so VWs today at the NRMA Motorfest in the center of Sydney.

Invasion day dosen't do much for me.
If I had keys I'd be at work - instead I'll just spray fish oil everywhere and hose my carpets out mabey. See if to roof rack will come off for a coat of paint!

Well, I did something VW and almost had my own fireworks too. I was fiddling with the windscreen wiper motor (as you do) and accidentalliy shorted the light switches. Lots of sparks and stuff because they were stuck and I couldn't disconnect fast enough! I'll tell you what though, the burning plastic smoke that filled up the car smells nothing like cordite smoke!!!!

Ha I know exactly how you feel. Was putting in a new dash fan in the camper last Thursday night when one of the wires dropped and sparked on my JVC head unit which shut down straight away (like my heart). After cursing and carrying on I settled down and after checking luckily discovered I'd only blown an 8amp fuse Phew alot cheaper than getting the head unit replaced!

Had a great cruise to Maroondah Dam, but very strange not driving Bel or Dr L on a cruise for the first time, I was a passenger :o

How nice is it to have the wind in your hair and to find out you don't get wet in a vert when it rains and you are going fast enough? So glad we were beyond city traffic lights

Had an excellent weekend meeting new people, having very interesting converstaions and sleeping in a tent with the sound of rain on the roof, sweet:kiss
