baja advice ?

Hi guys,
a quick question ... would an "L-BUG" beetle make a good baja project, or is it the wrong model to try this with.
I only ask cos i have found a good cheep one, and i have most of the needed big bits for a baja.
So i really would like to hear from all you baja experts out there ...

L Bug has macpherson Strut front end and they are too weak to be made into a baja bug.
You can chop the front clip and put on a ball joint but it is lot of hassle. Also your front guards will not fit the L Bug properly due to the strut towers and shape of them.
