Cant get into u2u's to read..

Hey all,
I'm having a bit of a problem where I click on the "You have 1 new u2u message(s)" and when the new browser page opens up it just sits there blank.

Its not only only on AVD, any link I click on the opens a new browser it will sit there blank.

Any idea?? This is insanly annoying. :vader


Oh, and Oval Tofu if you are readin this send me a Email instead of u2u!

How would I turn it off??

I dont think I have any internet secruity software installed by the way.

If you are getting a new window opening it probably isnt that.
But on newer versions of IE it stops new windows from opening up unless
you tell it otherwise. It shows how many popups its stopped. (great for porn sites)

Well I've got windows 98
It has just started happening after I got my comp back from getting a new hard drive.

I have same problem...try going deeper into the forum (scary)...out of the first page...it works for me :rudolf

..outa d index...into a sub area like general chat...not into a topic....I have trouble there sometimes too :duh

I've learnt to live with it :D

Mine was doing that after I loaded XP on, it was annoying.
I tried every thing to fix it, ticking Boxes and every thing.

So I cracked the Shits and reloaded X.P it's fixed now.

Tell me about it, I usually do stuff like that over night so I don't waste any Day light and Sunshine.

I totally reformated once, I friggen hate restarting and restarting and restarting and restarting and restarting ....... :cussing

To the original poster - it sounds as if IE is infected with some sort of spyware or you have some sort of "toolbar" preventing all pop-ups.

I suggest getting 98 upgraded to XP SP2. It's compatible with this forum as it's what I use.

I also use Firefox now - you may wish to try it instead of IE:

http://www.firefox.com/ 

It also protects you against pop-ups, but u2u's work just fine.
