hello guys ,
a friend has a 85 xf ford wagon that has broken down in sydney , it will start and run but as soon as you go up a hill under load it dies .NRMA will tow it to a mechanic of our choice in Sydney ,can any one recomend one that that is not a shonk ,we have tried to ring the nrma approved mechanics they list but none are there ,they seem to be away on holidays ,it may be the fuel pump or the nrma guy said it could be the ignition fuel modulator ??? ,we need to get it moved ASAP
thanks in advance
david

Maybe get it towed to one of the servos the taxis use around Alexandria, there are a few. Not too far from Bondi and they will understand what makes an old Falcon go. (or not go).

Better if you can get it towed further out west, you will pay less for the repairs in the burbs.

Try a taxi depot, they will be the quickest and possibly the cheapest if you talk cash and look scruffy enough.
