HI, doing a bit of looking around for a good history of the VW, Im mostly in to the kombi history. Any good web sites? What about books? etc.

Anything would be appreciated.

Also, does anyone know of kombi wrecks? Total rust out jobs, plants growing out of them, in the bush or your garden?
Looking for some photo oppertunitys. Have you any good shots?

but it is about the beetle,and VW's history.. not the kombi

There is a new book in Australia titled 'Volkswagen In Australia-The Forgotten Story'. There is about 20 pages on the Kombi's history - maybe it's what you are looking for?
