LOTS OF VEEDUBS!!!???

As I was driving Yesturday, from The western Burbs I was On The Western Ring road, Got off at the westgate freeway exit, and as I was entering the westgate I noticed on the left a shiat load of VW, Just looking in that Direction there must have been about 40-50 cars Just Lined up!!! Type 1 and 2s mainly!!!! Does anyone know if there is a wrecker or something there, cause there are a lot of freight companys there, and I have a feeling they are all going O/S!!!!!

you are right :( they are all going for a OS holiday.
This has been going on for ages, and there is nothing to do except turn your head and cough when driving by, don't look!

Out of curiosity how much does it cost to export a beetle, as i know someone thats moving o/s and wants to dismantle his beetle to take with him?

I work on Pipe road right next to that place I look in there every day on the way to and from work,it stinks around there some people say its the tannerys etc I think its the dying VWs.They go to indonesia.in bits.

Theres heaps of beetle heads in Indonesia, they have huge VW shows

I went in there when they first opened it up it used to be a normal wreckers,The Indonesion guys hooked up with a couple of Aussie lads who pulled the old wreckers down built a huge shed they strip down vW ,Toyota,Nissan.It works like a sweatshop,4 Indo slaves strip cars all day they load up containers and ship em weekly,they stock up atleast 100 dubs to fill 3 containers this is there 4 batch of VWs, they wouldnt sell me shit.

Is this something at a wider level that we need to keep an eye on? Are all of our future projects all going overseas, driving up the prices sometime in the future and making even the common, rare?

Well Ive decided to grab a good one of each a 50s beetle a 60s beetle a 60s type 3 and a splity just to be sure so that when they are totaly wipped out Ive got a good exsample of each.I mean when im 40 I dont want to be looking back in regret,Trust me take advantage of the good aircooled dubs we still got before they all gone.Or very expensive.
