whatnow - March 1st, 2005 at 12:08 AM

nice score.

as for the back seats... they never seem to be in buses, but a friend of mine found one dumped on the side of the road a few years ago. the seat was free but he had spend $100 + on the roof racks to get it home :D

64vwmark - March 1st, 2005 at 02:19 AM

Great score. Looks like body is in quite reasonable condition.

Desert Moose - March 1st, 2005 at 02:43 AM

You don't want this david.......

just think of the time you'll have to spend workin' on it.... and all the money you will need to restore it.... and it will only ever be an old car.....

best you get rid of it as soon as possible, and to be a nice guy I'll help you out and get rid of it for ya.......:duh

So, did he fall for it :P

top one Mate.... what a nice score

64vwmark - March 1st, 2005 at 02:50 AM

baybuscamperkid - March 1st, 2005 at 08:13 AM

looks like a real sweet find. leave the top 1/2 as is white, respray the lower 1/2 matt black after you have done any necessary rust work, polish up thenoriginal interior as much as possible hen cruise in what wil be one of the sweetest rats around!

david - March 1st, 2005 at 10:26 AM

had a better look this morning ,both sills need doing and a bit of floor in the back but all else seems good enough for the time being , did 11 window buses come with deluxe interior or was this put in by someone ,the guy i got it from said his mate has one in his shed out on a farm that has been there for at least twenty years sitting since the engine blew up ,reckons it looks about the same as this one apart from the skylights in the roof and a really big engine lid

57kombi - March 1st, 2005 at 10:30 AM

The interior is actually a micro bus interior, these were still 11 window buses but had the back and middle row of seats.

Its the same really as a standard kombi, the kombi had no interior the micro-bus had the seats and trim , also the nice trim behind the cab divider with an ashtray built in.

Cheers
Dave

twoguns - March 1st, 2005 at 10:45 AM

my brother had a 60 11 window microbus, that had all hte interior. it belongs to another bloke up this way, as it was too far gone for my bro. im not sure how the other guy is going.
they are original and the one i speak of even had some of the original sales brochures, and receipts etc.
