hey is it cheaper to put fiberglass guards on a 71superbug than to buy aother guards for it cause of rust,,,,and to chop the top off than to remove a fair bit or rust from the rear screen,,,,,,,,and is it possible to put bigger tyres on her so she can go on the beach if i put fibreglass guards on her..car was resprayed 7months ago when i bought her but the rust is really bad in places,not sure which way to go

I think there is a fibereglass kit for a super in the parts section for sale at the moment. I'm not sure how much he was asking though. I just had my front guards replaced with steel ones. They cost me $50 each, these were second hand but good original german ones. Of course painting them also costs money but it's going to be the same for any new guards you get.
