Another of our Tassie icons has left these fair shores today and arrived in Melbourne tonight. Yes I sent a recently purchased 62 single over, it is on it's way to Sydney to Channel 7 so keep an eye out soon for a possible new program. This single has had a chequered past during these last few years and I have just fitted a 36HP engine yesterday to get it running. Sounds like a sewing machine. After it makes it's grand entrance on the box then I will reveal it's past. volma1
the colour of it woun't happen to be green would it ????
No sorry it was formerly pmg red then white and now nearly washed off back to red again. Sitting at Melbourne docks. Belonged to Ali with the green one at one stage. volma1
Wouldn't look like this inside would it?
bloody TV people but good to see a NICE real car on TV!!!!
cheers
rhys
Hmmm, picked up the 2 Tassie trading posts in Hobart and think this is one of the one's that was 'SOLD' the weekend before before I was
there
Oh well, it sounded sweet but I really don't have room or the time or the talent to restore etc etc, buttt...............it was a thought
So what are 7 doing? A promo, a period series, a ride for a soap character?
Guess we get to try and spot it on telly:sandrine
Hope it doesn't get killed in a ar chase or anything bad:jesus
No, Jen this one was sitting idle near Launceston for a number of years awaiting resto but a marriage seperation forced it to find a new home, it was actually just given away to a friend due to lack of space. Watch for reality series on the box maybe later in the year. Greg
A single cab in a reality series, got me wondering:alien
Sounds like there are still some nice old kombi's around down there and for sale.
Hi Volma1
The ute wasn't Gordon's was it?
Cheers Damian
It was bad news about the reason for selling:jesus
Hope the ute comes out well in the series so some enjoyment is gained from the situation
They'll probably blow it sky high in the last episode of that unreality show!!
Yes lugnuts the single was Gordon's then went to Ali then Peter then north. volma1
Sorry last posting was meant for "slow n low" volma1
Spoke to Peter and he did say he'd just sold one to Sydney
Hmmm, I hope they don't use pyrotechnics on it:o
Well I saw it today, it must be one of the ugliest splitty's going or sort of going and where i saw it well, I can just say, Volma you can sell
ice to eskimo's
Now i'm not going to spoil the surprise, but it won't be blown up or burnt or crashed.but loved and maybe restored???
I described it like it was to the purchaser and never embelished it at all. It has a better chance of life up north than here. volma1:jesus
Hmmm, Silver that's a real teaser????
Well from the price when I rang I would not have expected it would be mint, it would have needed work.
So it's ugly but lovable and only 'maybe' restored:jesus
The plot thickens:o
its a heap of shit no one wou restore it:bounce
