Hi guys.
Have you missed me . As most of you know I have just started my teaching
appointment. It's working out great. Not much time as you can guess but great all the same.
I teach three classes of Performing Arts (Drama studies) to years 10 and 11 and have two classes of Year 10 HSIE which is basically History, Geography
and Civics all rolled in to together.
The school is literally awesome. The teachers are really supportive, of the 90 odd students I teach only three give me a little grief. The kids are
responsible, the classrooms literally brand new and the resources top notch.
The Dog-O-War (71 Baja) turns a few heads on arrival in the mornings and there is usually no one around when I leave in the evenings. Haven't had
any kids pull the dizzy wires yet but I'm sure their will be one some day .
We have the nicest neighbours. Our kids have just had birthdays and they brought over presents, invited us to BBQ's on weekend and shown me the
choicest 4WD spots. Much better to the Strata for those who have read my past winges.
Our eldest has started school but it starts too late for me to drop him off . Love to scare a few crossing ladies with the Dog but alas its not to be. I have been taking a few up to date pics for the Magazine. The
photography dept at school is going to show me how to shine up the pics for the net.
Anyhow guys - I'm not lost, just been really busy planning, marking, adjusting and when I can teaching. Your stickers are in the system and
I'lll have a turn around date for you by the end of the week.
Thanks for your emails and all your support over the past few months. Hoping to catch up with a lot of you over the Easter weekend. For the Newcastle
team I will be there this weekend if you feel like a beer or twelve.
Pic Below - A couple of weekends ago taking some shots for the Mag. This is Butler Falls outside Dubbo on the Macquarie River. Turned a few jet
skiers heads seeing me making my own wake.

good to see things are going good for you bronze. I can't make the easter weekend, but if your going to Valla I'll be there.
I will try to give you a ring tomorrow night to catch up.
Good on ya Bronze glad to hear things are working out for you guys. Good to see you taking the Dog thru natures car wash too mate.
Did you get to that old car yard in Parkes yet?
Cheers
Dean
Have noticed an adsence when I do get here these days
So, OK, how does a geography teacher get to teach performing arts? A man of many talents:o
Hey sounds like you've found yourself a nice community up there, sweet:thumb
Haven't even given it a thought Dean. Saving to pay off the trip here and then replace the Ford with hopefully a Forester.
I wouldn't mind a split but first things first. Fix up the Dog or find somone willing to convert it to a LWB buggy for me - Wanna job Mark?
Either way this next few months will be just getting our feet. The job is good but it's not easy. I have to cross my 'T's' and dot
every 'i' when it comes to reporting and assessment. The students want me to organise musicals and epic event but I have refused so far
until I know what my assessment work load adds up to.
Sally is well as are the boys, Chandler and Jaxon. They have just had their 5 and 4th birthdays respectively and really enjoying having a yard and
neighbours aged 5 and 6. Most days I'm home by 5 and generally get a day free on the weekends. Glad to see your trip went well Dean. Doubt with
Valla and the Nationals we'll get to Melbourne this year but I'll let you know for sure if we will be in that nick of the woods.
Glad your back Broinze. The posting average of this forum was down 50% in the time you were gone!:P
Sure it wasn't down 53% Richard?
Good question Jen.
I started Uni with an Drama major, English minor and Geography Elective. In the first year each added up to 20 credits each. The Professor of the
Drama Faculity started to twitch, turn purple and had a self contained fit over some lighting problem during an opening night. The closest person he
could blame was me at the time and held the grudge for weeks. Slotted Drama down a slot as I was failing English as well. I was HDing Geography so
took it as my Major and gave English the arse!
So now Geography is a main interest but it turns out I'm good at teaching Drama because I have fairly diverse interests and can relate to the
kids well.
When people ask what I do for a living I just tell them: "I teach rocks with flair".
