we reckon its alternate fuel source - looks like compression detonation and is loaded with high energy electronics!!!! obviously for cold weather running!!!! looks like W deck lid! where did this picture come from? the brothers :o
WHAT THE :vader
HIGHT TECH IN THE 60S.
I would say....
Electric?

No one on the other newgroups who've seen it can say what it is either.
Note that there is snow around the edge of the engine bay and just under the "engine" which means the body is probably sitting on snowy
ground without a pan under it.
No valves, no cooling system, no carby, no exhaust, but it IS a VW engine case by the look of it.
It's not steam, and it's not compressed air either, and the manifold inlets are all wrong for a 2-stroke (one of my first impressions was a
McCulloch aero engine lookalike - there is a 100ci 4 cylinder 2-stroke McCulloch engine which is used in ultralights and gryocopters - but it
isn't that either).
The electrics look heavy duty - big heat sinks and heavy duty cable between.
My guess - a previously converted electric bug (there are a few in the USA) with the electric motor removed and some person's idea of a
"funny engine" put there for some obscure reason.
Gotta be a fake if you ask me. Look at the bits around the engine bay. Coil , Ballast resistor, aftermarket aircleaner and heat sinks that could come
from any thing.
What the distrubutor thing for?? No leads to anywere and theres hose clips holding bits on all over.
Robs on the right track, someone with too much time on there hands.
Yeah, I hink its a fake as well. Those two transistor that are mounted on the heat sinks right in front are wired to a t junction which in turn is wired to the third heatsink body?? Someones playing silly BUGGERS!!!
