He lives on the planet hope. He has lots of friends there as well I am sure. No wonder he states that all sales are final. He doesn't want them to find out they can get them cheaper before they pay him.

~air fooled~ - July 5th, 2005 at 04:56 PM

it doesnt suprise me really...i use to do mercedes parts... for new stuff you pay through the ass then have to give blood... for older rarer items its not too much a stretch of the imagination to ask that much..

pod - July 5th, 2005 at 06:11 PM

penguin - July 5th, 2005 at 07:35 PM

Dear god

whatever planet he is from the air is def rare up there!!!

11CAB - July 5th, 2005 at 08:21 PM

Well when some model Mercs have a water pump that retails for about $4000, I guess he feels justified asking $2000 for a pair of lights........:puke

Robo - July 5th, 2005 at 08:26 PM

I wouldn't even consider putting them on my VW any way, they look pretty crappy to me!
Rob...

64vwmark - July 6th, 2005 at 06:48 AM

You could buy a nice VW for the price of those lights.

koolkarmakombi - July 6th, 2005 at 11:05 AM

bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

~air fooled~ - July 6th, 2005 at 04:28 PM

hey get this...

though mercedes is a premium franchise for all those tools whom feel necessitated to buy a vehicle for the pure reason of it being a status symbol, its one of the most failure prone. when i was doing merc parts for a dealership roughly half the workshop income and time spent was on fixing/replacing defective car parts. this is due to the outsourcing of a lot of electrical parts to china, hence a decline in costs but also quality!

and also...

you'd expect for a luxury vehicle you'd pay luxury part sprices yeah? YOU CANT BUY SPARK PLUG LEADS ALREADY MADE!! true! if joe blow walks in off the street and wants a lead set you look up your little book detailing his car and it tells you how many meters of high tension cable you need, how many boots, capacitators etc and you give him it all in a bag and send him on his way! DIY! what a toss...

karmen - July 6th, 2005 at 10:19 PM

they are worth buying 2nd hand nowdays Laurie

15yrs later 10% of the new price and smooth rides with safety.
Chinese built anything is a worry though

crewcabconnection - July 6th, 2005 at 10:32 PM

I'd say he's onto a good thing.

waltermitty - July 6th, 2005 at 10:57 PM

nice i want them M

~air fooled~ - July 7th, 2005 at 02:08 PM

hey karmen! whats happening man? knew i could rely on you to stick up for the germans eh hahahaha :P:P:P hows the KG goin?

i suppose the term 'worth' is open to interpretation by the buyer. purely due to the maintenace costs i'd never buy one... also due to the stigma of what merc drivers stand for i guess... then again someone such as yourself see's the value compared to original cost, ride quality and safety as positives... maybe i need to get a few more years on me odomoter eh? hahaha:P:P

frenzix - July 7th, 2005 at 05:10 PM
