Photos from Wolfsburg Autostadt (Part of VW Factory)

Just thought that I would share some photos I took from Wolfsburg last week. I visited Autostadt which is like a theme park for anyone interested in cars , especially VW's.
The whole focus is for VW provide an overveiw in the evolution of Automobiles and the part cars play in our lives eg The peoples Car.

Autostadt shares the same grounds as the VW production factory and is linked via a tunnel that transports up to 500 cars per day into 2 huge glass towers that store the brand new cars.The cars are loaded automatically via a lift into the towers which is a pretty awesome sight. You can come to the factory to pick up your brand new car and watch it being picked in front of you. Then you will be met by a representitive that will basically wine and dine you while they instruct you how to use your new car!

I had a guided tour that explained the history of the Factory pre and post war. The history of all the individual cars displayed was also explained.

The whole experience was well worth the 450 km drive from Frankfurt , mind you when you sit on the Autobahn at 180km/h it doesn't take long!

Here are the Towers;
