I have been trying to log onto this site, but I keep getting this message...
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /index2.htm on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
What the hell dose this mean..?
Rob...
Don't know,
where is the bug shop?? if its the one that has the resto of a 57 on it, http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4000/
then I can get in......
Have you tried deleteing all your off line content and starting in again? (Not sure if that would do anything, but its what they told me to do at work
on Friday when I had trouble accessign Qantas.)
Tried that but I still get the same message. It's pissing me off cause he had a great steering wheel resto story on there, and I can't get back in
to see it!
Rob...
Do you want it hard copy or as a file?
I lie,
I can't get from home either... will check again tomorrow at work for you.
If you can get in you could copy it and Email it too me. Or print it and I will send you a SASE, so you can forward it too me.
Thanks Rob...
No probs Rob,

...I wonder if they have maintained the site lately? They still have their S11 2001 Rememberance ....maybe way out of date
a 403 error on MS IIS is means that the permissions set for the root directory (default website) have been set to deny accessing any directory
directly and listing the file contents. On poorly protected/set up servers it is often possible to view the 'root' and sub directorys.
What this acutally means is that the file in the default folder - the website - called index2.htm is not publically viewable. Therefore when you try
to view it, it fails and denys you the ability to view the directory's contents.
The more common error is a 404 - page not found - this is when the page you are looking for does not exisit.
I would say that either they have not paid their bill, and the server has reset the site permissions or that they have set it. Depends a lot on the
hosting set up. You could try backdooring it - like contact.htm or index.htm - it is not normal for a site to used index2.htm as the default page.
Out of the box a URL say http://www.apple.com is in all truth http://www.apple.com/index.htm or index.html or default.htm or default.html or the
same but using .asp or .php as the suffix, depending on the server set up.
There will be a test.
Thanks Crewcab. It was a great site. Lots of resto pictures and advice, he did a wonderful job on his 57 Oval. A great pitty I can no longer get into
it. I have a friend that can help me with the things you have sugested, we will give it a go!
Thanks Rob.
