At the moment Im just gathering bits for my Type 3 Volks Rat Rod. Just waiting for summer to start on the panels etc etc.
sounds awesome... hopefully my bug will be ready by summer. Its a 74 L Bug convertible, currently in the panel shop.

I'm in Perth (Kwinana) too, I've a red 73 L bug that I have had on the road for about 2 and a half years now....
So is this all of us perthians then aye! Seems like everyone lives in Bris vegas? Is anyone a member of the W.A VW club? I wanna get some information, im interested in joining when my bug is on the road!

did you have the convertable at the Karman ghia place in the hills ? the one that was so rusty that just about every pannel was replaced ?

Nah not me... although mine has alot of rust... so much that i had to get another body. So in the end my bug will be made out of two (Harriett and Mildred). Why have one when you can have two hey? Obviously someone had used mine as a beach buggy before as there was also alot of sand in it... I'll try send a pic of how she looked before i stripped her down to a carcas!

Sunday 9th October (same day as club’s first run in 1955)
Arrive and check-in from 8:30am with Kruize departing at 10:00am.
